I used to play poker with this cat in my late teens to my early 20s. Yea I know I’m only 25 but still, I haven’t talked to Lorenz in a while. Always knew he was into writing and it’s pretty inspirational for him to finally get some love even if it is on a grassroot level. Lorenz is one of the most positive people you will ever meet if you are fortunate to meet him and it’s very powerful to hear him perform one of his works about something we share in common. Anyways, I hope you watch it and enjoy!
I just finished watching The Pursuit of Happyness and I’ve got to say that it always chokes me up at the end when Will Smith(yea, i refer to characters in movies by their real life names i.e. Paul Walker.) finally makes it as a broker. It’s a testament that the pursuit is difficult but, if you make it, it’s definitely worth it. Kind of corny I know, but I’m still going to blog this.
Makes me think of the heroes in my life. The ones who succeeded doing it the honorable way. To strike out on your own, whether it be by yourself, with your other, or with your small growing family, can be arduous— But with patience and persistence, happiness will surely be attained. Yea, the movie inspires me but what’s truly more inspirational is that I have real life heroes to look up to. Everyone from my parents and sister to my close friends(you know who yalls are) are living proof that you can make it.
